Rose Marie Garrison, Vice
President of John Hunsinger & Company, was born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada (500 miles
north of Toronto, whose main industry was The Hollinger Gold Mine, the largest gold mine
in the world). Ms. Garrison attended Barrie College in Barrie, Ontario, Canada,
where she received her business degree. Rose Marie began working for Baxter
Laboratories in Alliston Ontario, Canada heading up their Accounting Department. Ms.
Garrison later moved to Evanston, Illinois (a Chicago suburb), where she transferred to
Baxter's Headquarter Office in Morton Grove, to work for their Market Analyst in the Sales
Division. She later joined a Chicago Insurance Brokerage firm reporting directly to
Mr. Beckwith Bronson of Bronson, Dennehy and Ulseth, and married during this
time. Following her husband's transfer, Ms. Garrison moved to Winston-Salem,
North Carolina and joined R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in their Marketing
Department. The Garrisons were then transferred to Atlanta in early 1966 by way of
her husband's employment.
Ms. Garrison began work in the real estate profession in 1966 when she joined Pope and
Carter of Atlanta as an Executive Secretary and in 1967 became Administrative Assistant
and later, Corporate Secretary of Crow, Pope and Carter Industrial Enterprises. In
1970, Rose Marie joined John Hunsinger & Company and continued in an
administrative/management position with the firm. In 1972, she entered the
Industrial/Commercial marketing field as an Agent and in 1973 she became the FIRST
Woman Life Member of the Million Dollar Club in Commercial/Industrial Sales and
Leasing. Ms. Garrison is recognized and quoted by Margaret Crispen in her book
titled "How Any Woman Can Get Rich Fast in Real Estate".
She has also been recognized as a
"pioneer female" in the commercial/industrial real estate field.
Rose Maries annual million dollar production has been continual throughout her
active real estate career, as evidenced by her past
thirty years cumulative sales and leasing business volume,
which well exceeds one hundred million
dollars. In 1993, Ms.
Garrison was recipient of the very distinguished and coveted Phoenix Award in recognition
of ten (10) years of annual million dollar production achievement in sales and leasing,
thereby making her the SECOND Woman in Commercial/Industrial real
estate to receive this award (preempted ONLY by a 5 year sabbatical taken to raise her
daughter). One of her many major sales was the original historical
neighborhood shopping center in Atlanta known as Belvedere Plaza Shopping Center,
consisting of approximately 442,000 square feet of retail development on approximately 30
acres of land.
Based on Rose Maries annual outstanding accomplishments and expertise, and at the
request of the new Belvedere owners, Ms. Garrison undertook the exclusive marketing of
Belvedere's availability and, in addition to an 80,000 square foot anchor build-to-suit
Kroger Superstore, Belvedere Plaza now enjoys a 100% occupancy over a previous 80%
vacancy.
Ms. Garrison's services were also retained by a national California Industrial
Developer whose portfolio reflects in excess of twenty million square feet of
industrial/distribution properties. As a result of Ms. Garrisons exclusive
representation of the 41.85 acre tract - 360,000 square foot multi-tenant office-warehouse
distribution facility, the Owner now enjoys a 100% occupancy from an 87% vacancy.
Also, Ms. Garrison was recently retained to exclusively represent a Purchaser/Investor
thereby successfully completing a $2,000,000.00 sale of a 30,000 square foot office
Building on Dresden Drive in the North I-85 Atlanta corridor.
In addition to her very active real estate business, Ms. Garrison has headed up the
firm's Sales Training Program for new recruits, along with heavy participation in

years at the Corpus Christi Church in Stone Mountain. She presently attends
Cathedral of Christ the King and is an active participant hosting one of their Small
Christian Communities groups in her Garden Hills neighborhood.
Another of her most recent accomplishments is her
Charter Presidency of an organization called Kindred Spirits Singles
Over 35 Ministry through the Cathedral of Christ the King. Kindred
Spirits organization's purpose is to provide a spiritual, service and
social environment while enjoying good fellowship bonding of strong
Christian values, and it is now one of the fastest growing Singles
Ministries in the Cathedral presently enjoying 130 strong membership in
less than one year under Ms. Garrison's outstanding leadership.
In addition, in
recognition of Ms. Garrison's contributions toward education, a scholarship fund has been
set up in her name at St. Mary's Elementary School in Kodiak, Alaska
to serve the less
fortunate Eskimo children. Rose Marie's hobbies are tennis, music, jogging, antique
collecting, gardening, and oil painting.
Ms. Garrison has a daughter, Kelli, who is a former graduate of Woodward Academy in
College Park and, presently, a full-time Nurse,
